Creating a Family-Inspired Hot Chocolate Station

Grab and go hot chocolate station for a busy family.

We recently organized a kitchen for a busy family of four. They had an amazing amount of cabinet space, and the layout was perfect for entertaining and enjoying the space together. But over time the kitchen became disorganized and less user-friendly.

As we took everything out of the cabinets and started putting like items together, we discovered the family really wanted a hot chocolate station. Chocolate, here we come!

Choosing the Best Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows

First, the marshmallows. We found amazing Hammonds Gourmet Marshmallows in vanilla bean and caramel pumpkin. Hammonds makes a light and fluffy marshmallow, which floats beautifully in your hot chocolate.

Next, we looked for hot chocolates for everyone’s taste. Williams Sonoma has a wonderful variety of hot chocolates – we choose peppermint and classic. We also included a sugar-free one, made with monk fruit by Lakanto Hot Chocolate.

Setting Up the Hot Chocolate Station

Once we had our ingredients, we set up the station. Besides having a stay-at-home and lounge mug, we also provided to-go cups with lids, sleeves, and stir spoons. We corralled these items in a small shopping cart.

We labeled the airtight containers with the different chocolates and marshmallows.

With everything in one spot and on the counter, the family could quickly make up hot chocolate, for home or on the go to enjoy.
